It is finally time for a wedding. It has been more than 1 year since we got engaged, a little over 2 years ago we bought a home together and it is almost 5 years since we met.
The church is booked, the reception hall is booked, let's go!
The wedding ceremony will take place in Fristad's church, a church that has an old history. For us, the church has a bit more importance since the groom's great great grandmother and great great grandfather married in this very church.
The wedding ceremony will take place on Saturday the 18th of May at. 13.00.
The Equmenia church of Storsjöstrand is the place where the wedding reception will take place. We have chosen this place with care and it is significant for us as the bride spent some time there as a child.
The church was completely renovated a few years ago and the place felt right for us the moment we saw it.
The reception begins the same day as the wedding ceremony at. 15:30.
Official dress code: It's not 100% possible to translate the Swedish dress codes to an English one but closest we could find were the English dress code Informal wear. You can read about what that means here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Informal_wear
We also have a theme at the wedding that we are happy to see reflected in how our guests dress. As a guest you may like to have a detail that is nerdy or geeky, some examples may be cufflinks with the Hulk on or a pair of earrings with Ariel from "The Little Mermaid". Please be inventive and surprise us but note that we do not want this to overshadow but rather be a small detail, the dress code still takes precedens. It's not a masquerade.
You can read more about the theme in the next paragraph.
You know us. We are nerds. It might be Pokémon, Magic the Gathering or something else. You can find this in our house, on our clothes and in our minds. Therefore, of course, our wedding will be characterized by nerdy stuff.
